I am often asked tons of questions about engagement sessions! Here are some tips and information to help you get the most out of your engagement session! I am always super excited to work with my couples before their wedding day! It lets us get to know each other and have some fun.  Engagement sessions give you some beautiful couples photos that you normally would never get.  

Should I have professional hair and makeup done for my engagement session? 

My answer: Yes! Professional hair and makeup will allow you look and feel beautiful! Even if you don't normally wear much makeup, you don't normally have your engagement photos done either! This is definitely the time to look and feel your best.  I am alway happy to recommend local hair and makeup artists.  

How many outfits will we have time for?

My answer: Usually 2! I suggest something casual and something dressier.  Or something dressier and something formal! It really depends on where you are having your engagement session and your personal style! I have a Pinterest board here of suggestions here:  E-Session Wardrobe Ideas

Where should we have our engagement session?

My answer: Luckily Central Florida has so many amazing options! The options are limitless really. What sings to you? Nature, architecture, gardens, beaches, urban or rustic areas? Do you have a hobby or favorite date spot you want to incorporate?

What time is best for our session?  

My answer:  Typically I schedule sessions about an hour before sunset time to find the pretty light! We can also do sunrise sessions if you early love-birds! 

How long do engagement sessions last?

My answer: Approximately 1 hour, give or take a few minutes. 

Can we bring our dogs?

My answer: Absolutely! We just have to make sure the location is dog friendly and you have to bring a dog sitter for the times we won't be using the pups!

Can we bring a friend or family member to the session?

My answer: Yes, you sure can! Make sure it is someone you are super comfortable displaying lots of PDA in front of!! Don't bring anyone who makes you feel awkward!

Speaking of awkward...

We don't know how to pose and don't want to look awkward in front of the camera.

My answer: So don't look awkward! Don't worry about posing, I will take care of all of that.  Just come ready to have some fun! Be prepared to do lots of PDA.  The more fun you have, the more relaxed you will be and it will translate to your portraits!
